- HIDE EXPLANATION

Who is SEPA?

The Solar Electric Power Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which means that we are designated as a charitable organization by the IRS. We exist to serve our Members and society at large by facilitating utility use and integration of solar electric power. For more information about our members, visit our Member List

How is SEPA governed?

The organization is managed by an elected board of directors. The board is made up of 18 representatives, 13 of which are employees from electric utilities.

How does SEPA differ from other non-profit solar organizations?

SEPA is a business-to-business (B2B) utility-focused organization that works hand-in-hand with the many organizations dedicated to the solar industry. But unlike organizations which focus on policy, advocacy and legislation, SEPA provides customized, localized and practical advice, research and events specific to the issues that bridge the electric utility industry. We offer broad and deep industry expertise across all stakeholder perspectives, and the resulting industry relationships help you to turn solar theory into practice.
