If you are a utility interested in solar you have come to the right place. Since we were founded in 1992 SEPA has been dedicated to helping utilities explore their solar options. This site has a number of resources to help you get the latest information on implementation of solar. Utilizing Solar Energy for Utilities

 

SEPA is a utility's go-to resource for information about solar technologies, policies, markets, and programs. We offer everything a utility needs to successfully integrate solar energy into its business plans.

 

PowerClerk Discount Program

Developed by Clean Power Research, PowerClerk is a software program that helps utilities and state energy agencies manage their renewable incentive programs. It saves program administrators time and money and allows for real time reporting.


SEPA members who sign up before April 17, 2013 receive a 15 percent discount on a PowerClerk subscription. Utility Solar Knowledge Center - Use our Solar Toolkit to facilitate your own research efforts. The toolkit includes a filterable document library, multimedia library, and other useful information resources.

Research Services - Whether you have a quick question or need more thorough information on a solar topic, SEPA's Regional Directors are available to help you with your solar needs. Consider our staff an extension of yours.

SEPA's suite of educational programming offers something for every utility, regardless of your travel budget or solar knowledge level.

Our educational programming for utilities includes:

Conferences and Expos - SEPA is the host of two annual conferences: Solar Power International (co-presented with SEIA) and Utility Solar Conference. These two conferences can't be beat to learn everything there is to know about solar technologies, policies, and programs. 

Regional Workshops - SEPA recognizes that utilities face unique challenges depending on where they are located in the U.S. and therefore hosts periodic regional workshops on issues specific to your situation.

Monthly Webinars - SEPA's monthly webinars are highly praised by our members. Each webinar features a national solar expert, who presents information on a specific topic for 30-40 minutes, followed by 20-30 minutes of questions and discussion.

Fact Finding Missions - Each year, SEPA takes a group of utility decision makers to an area in the U.S. and abroad where there are lessons to be learned regarding solar technology, policy, and grid integration.
