Education

SEPA's suite of educational programming offers something for every utility, regardless of your travel budget or solar knowledge level.

Our educational programming for utilities includes:

Conferences and Expos - SEPA is the host of two annual conferences: Solar Power International (co-presented with SEIA) and Utility Solar Conference.  These two conferences can't be beat to learn everything there is to know about solar technologies, policies, and programs.

Regional Workshops - SEPA recognizes that utilities face unique challenges depending on where they are located in the U.S. and therefore we host periodic regional workshops on issues specific to your situation.

Monthly Webinars - SEPA's monthly webinars are highly praised by our members. Each webinar features a national solar expert, who presents information on a specific topic for 30-40 minutes, followed by 20-30 minutes of questions and discussion.

Fact Finding Missions - Each year, SEPA takes a group of utility decision makers to an area in the world where there are lessons to be learned regarding solar technology, policy, and grid integration.

Interaction & Outreach

SEPA facilitates interaction for you with our internal experts as well as between you and other members. The combination results in unparalleled learning, information sharing, and business relationships.

Our interaction/outreach activities for our Utility Members include:

Personalized Expert Interaction - SEPA has three regional directors who are dedicated to providing one-on-one support to utilities who require assistance with their solar strategies, programs and projects: contact your Regional Director

Peer-to-Peer Networking - SEPA saves utilities time and money by allowing you to learn from your utility peers rather than having to recreate the wheel. Our peer-to-peer networking resources include:
